My Story
Bonnie Leigh Mercado (April 9) is an American reality star, actress, model, media personality, and radio host. Born and raised in the heart of New York City, Bonnie’s passion for entertainment began at just 16 years old. Her journey from surviving homelessness in the freezing New York winters to building a thriving career in Hollywood is a powerful testament to her resilience, determination, and unshakable belief in chasing dreams.

While pursuing acting and modeling, Bonnie excelled academically, earning Dean’s List honors at Nassau County Community College all while working full-time and raising her daughter. Over the course of more than two decades, she has built an impressive portfolio in front of the camera, appearing in hit television shows such as Boston Public and VH1’s Flavor of Love 2 (as “Eyez”), as well as films like Sorority Boys (2002), Vacancy (2007), and Mall Cop 2 (2015). Her modeling credits include campaigns for Sebastian Professional, Zink Magazine, Baja Fresh, Chanel, Forever 21, Budweiser, and the NoH8 Campaign, among many other major brands.

Behind the scenes, Bonnie has been just as impactful creating marketing materials, advising on branding strategies, and producing projects across television, film, music, and live events. Her expertise in marketing and promotions eventually led her to a leadership role as COO of Mercado Marketing and Public Relations, where she has been instrumental in growing brands, managing high-profile clients, and executing innovative campaigns.

In addition to her work in marketing, Bonnie has made her mark in broadcasting. After a life-threatening incident led her to relocate to Las Vegas, she found renewed purpose in radio, hosting shows such as Keepin’ It Real with Bonnie Eyez and Real Talk with Eyez. Her popular morning show, Wake the Hell Up, became a platform for positivity, humor, and community connection. Today, she is the host of Tha Lockdown on FM 103.1 KBET The Hu$tle, where she spotlights the Las Vegas community, hip-hop culture, and stories that inspire.

In an industry often dominated by men, Bonnie stands out as a strong advocate for authenticity, empowerment, and perseverance. Her journey from the streets of New York to Hollywood sound stages, and now to the Las Vegas airwaves proves that with grit, passion, and vision, anything is possible.
